Shambler
The slow archetype. Numbers over speed: the wall that keeps coming while you reload.
A custom zombie sandbox including slow, fast, and crawling Zombies. Place them through Game Master, or let ambient populations and directed waves shape an entire scenario.
Counted every hour from the public Arma Reforger server list by the Outbreak Server Watch, with data from ReforgerMods.net and ArmaHQ. Players are the people on servers running the add-on, not subscribers.
Three archetypes ship in the core add-on, each with its own animations and behaviour, in civilian and military dress. Health and damage are yours to tune. Hover a card to see the other outfit.

The slow archetype. Numbers over speed: the wall that keeps coming while you reload.

The fast archetype. Closes distance in seconds and tackles what it catches.

The crawling archetype. Low, quick and hard to spot in cover and crops.
Everything is placeable and configurable from the Game Master interface, on your own scenarios and servers.

Published change notes, straight from the Workshop. Other add-ons are listed by their latest update.
The bird's dive now grabs only the person its talons actually hit - a nearby stander can no longer be snatched instead, and nothing locks a person's controls before the talons strike. Requires Creature Melee AI 1.8.6.
Adds an internal carry admission path used by creature add-ons that have already proved physical contact with the body they struck, such as the Eyekin bird's dive grab. Creature and player behaviour through the existing pickup search is unchanged.
Active mass graves can now spawn the Abomination on servers that load Special Zombies and Creatures. Each grave has a 1% chance per minute, with at most one Abomination alive across the valley. It follows the existing lure, population limit and idle cleanup rules. The creature addon remains optional; Lite's required dependencies and other infected spawn chances are unchanged.
Greenskin gains a broad jaw, flat nose, lower tusks, a heavier brow and leathery green hide. Fuller cheeks, softer facial creases and smoother face-to-neck skin transitions give it a more natural appearance. Removed its old crown and back spikes. The original Warbeast and Warchief remain available.
Barefoot Warbeast and Warchief no longer injure their feet while walking or running with the updated Creature Melee AI dependency.
Warbeast, Warchief and Greenskin now have health sliders in the shared Creatures settings of Game Master global attributes.
The shared Creatures faction label now keeps the standard Game Master faction setup, so it works better with other mods that add factions. Requires Creature Melee AI 1.8.0.
Adds Squidbeast and Big Jim to the Creatures roster. Squidbeast uses the original mottled hide; Big Jim has orange hide, a white vest, denim and a larger body. Both use fist and smash attacks, creature voices and native turning.
Infection stage popups are off by default. Game Masters and server owners can enable them with Show Symptom Alerts or outbreak.json. Examination, diagnosis and treatment feedback remain available.
When symptom alerts are enabled, the risen notification now reaches the original player after their old body reanimates. Includes updated Workshop information and component licence clarification.
Fixes the sideways first-person crossbow after drawing or equipping it. Keeps the flat back placement, vanilla draw/restow, front quiver reload, palm-down single-bolt reload, fitted inspections, finishes and FIRE/HE ammunition. Standalone: no other Workshop addon required.
Bigger bolts and a heavier sound.
The classic and modern military mounts both use these changes. Still WIP; multiplayer presentation and full-range crew posture need further testing.
Taking a district stops its local infected reinforcements; roaming infected can still enter. Graves stop preparing new waves when an attack ends. Nearby infected remain, while abandoned groups clear after everyone leaves. The compact campaign map keeps bases and relays, with field orders in the journal. Joining screens show US Army Remnants. Enemy score icons and flags use the black-and-red Outbreak banner. Infection and Ambience opening overlays default to off. Selected barriers have openings while surrounding fence runs remain. Tunnels have been updated, but zombie movement and spawning underground are still under testing and are not yet reliable.
